“We must ensure economic, social and cultural equality for Rural Ireland” - James Browne
Rural communities are the heartland of our society and they are under attack. I am devoted to building a stronger, more vibrant rural Ireland for children, families, and communities. We must find sustainable solutions to protect the viability of rural communities. We need strategic and long term approaches. This means fair and equitable access to essential services such as healthcare, post offices, schools and Garda Stations. These services have come under sustained, unprecedented and disproportionate attack. Rural communities can survive and thrive if given proper and sustainable resources. It also means having a credible plan for sustainable jobs by promoting agriculture and forestry. If done correctly the cycle of decline in rural Ireland can be reversed.
